After repeatedly spraining my ankle on the court—and seeing a friend end up on crutches—I realized most pickleball shoes lacked key features like stability, comfort, and ankle support.
I know how frustrating it is to search for the right gear, only to come up empty-handed. That’s why I created Solase Pickleball—a shoe designed to keep players protected, comfortable, and confident in every game.
At Solase, we believe the best pickleball shoes are shaped by the players who wear them.
To create the most comfortable and supportive shoes, I went straight to the source—the players. After surveying 1500+ players and visiting courts, we spent a year refining prototypes, testing them in real gameplay, and listening to feedback.
Every detail—from our mid-cut design for support to our wider toe box for comfort—was designed by players, built for the court.
In 2024, we launched on Kickstarter with the goal of bringing Solase Pickleball Shoes to players everywhere. Thanks to an amazing community of backers, we successfully funded the project and proved that players were ready for a shoe designed specifically for the game.
Now, we’re on a mission to help players move with confidence, prevent injuries, and enjoy the sport they love without worrying about their footwear.

I grew up in Asia, where academic pressure was everything. I studied late into the night, chasing perfection, while quietly battling stress and burnout. My only escape was sports—those moments of movement and connection saved me.
When I moved to the U.S. from Taiwan, the pressure didn’t stop. My dad had given up his savings so I could have a better life. I felt the weight of that sacrifice every day. Far from home, friendships became my lifeline. And that’s when I found pickleball.
On the court, I felt joy again. I laughed, I moved, I connected. But I also got hurt—twisting my ankle twice. I saw others struggling too, wearing basketball shoes just to avoid injury. That’s when I realized: pickleball needed better shoes.
So I created Solase—pickleball shoes designed for comfort, stability, and peace of mind. With a mid-cut for ankle support, a wide toe box for balance, and a reinforced toe cap for durability, our shoes are built to protect what matters most: your love for the game.
